Science
At Middlestone Moor Primary Academy, we recognise the importance of Science in daily life, and we aspire to provide a Science curriculum which enables pupils to explore and discover the world around them, embedding a deeper understanding of the ever-changing world we live in.
We aim to develop children’s scientific skills, vocabulary, knowledge and understanding through the disciplines of Biology, Chemistry and Physics and to develop their understanding of the nature, processes and methods of science through different types of science enquiries that help then to answer science questions about the world around them.
We will increase their science capital by linking their learning to real life contexts and careers in STEM industries. We will develop the natural curiosity of every child, encourage respect for living organisms and the physical environment and provide opportunities to develop a passion to pursue Science as a career in future years to come.
