Mental Health & Wellbeing
Positive mental health is as important as good physical health and we aim to provide our children with life long tools and strategies to allow them to respond effectively to everyday challenges.
Surveys suggest that disproportionality large numbers of pupils with conduct and emotional disorders can fall behind in their educational attainment. We are committed to ensuring that all members of our school community can ‘achieve and thrive’. Therefore our aims are:
- To ensure that through the promotion of positive MHWB, our children are helped to express their feelings, build confidence and emotional resilience, therefore improving the capacity to learn.
- To increase awareness and understanding of MHWB and reduce the stigma attached for children and also the wider school community.
- To provide early help for children and seek further support when needed.
- To provide MHWB support for all staff.
